Sanskrit theatre was believed to be a form to be read and not performed. But now it has been  proved beyond doubt that Sanskrit dramaturgy was and is highly performable.

The Indian arts are developed within a framework where they are mutually dependent and interconnected on the level of spirit, thought , content form and technique. There exists both interdependence of art form and autonomy of each artistic medium.

Behind this is the principle of unity, formless or the para-rupa. Which repeatedly  manifests in the Veda’s, Brahamana ,Aranyaka and Upanishads.

These have manifested as the components of dramaturgy which are documented in the Natyashastr
